9.75″ diameter x 1.75″ deep – the ultimate pie plate for bakers! The Art of Polish Pottery, a centuries-old craft, originated in the German province of Silesia as local folk art. The first known ‘Bunzlauer’ stoneware pieces, dating back to the 16th century, were handcrafted and decorated using a folk art stamping technique with potatoes. Traditional designs, inspired by peacock feathers, feature cobalt blue, sage green, and ferrous red colors, still influencing modern patterns today. Skilled Polish artisans handcraft and hand-decorate each piece using small sponges to stamp patterns and colors, ensuring a unique, handmade quality. After mixing ingredients, molding, decorating, and glazing, the pottery is fired twice, making it extremely durable, resistant to cracking and chipping, and perfect for microwave, dishwasher, oven, and freezer use. Our Polish Pottery is complemented by a range of beautiful, hand-blown glassware from Poland, making it a perfect addition to your collection.
