A great baking dish for lasagna or your favorite casserole – 13.75″ x 11.25″ x 3″ deep! The Art of Polish Pottery, a traditional craft with centuries-old roots in Silesia, Poland, is characterized by its unique, handmade, and hand-painted designs. Dating back to the 16th century, the first known ‘Bunzlauer’ stoneware pieces were crafted using a folk art stamping technique with potatoes. Classic designs, inspired by peacock feathers, feature cobalt blue, sage green, and ferrous red hues, remaining the hallmark of modern-day Polish Pottery. Skilled Polish artisans individually handcraft and decorate each piece using small sponges for stamping patterns and colors. The pottery undergoes a rigorous process involving ingredient mixing, molding, decoration application, glazing, and double firing, ensuring durability and resistance to cracking or chipping. This process also makes the pottery microwave, dishwasher, oven, and freezer safe. As a complement to our Polish Pottery, we’ve curated a selection of exquisite, hand-blown glassware from Poland, perfect for expanding your collection.
