Unique shape from Ceramika Artystyczna – a ying and yang fish dish, ideal for dipping sauces, condiments, and spices, measuring 6″ x 9″. The art of Polish pottery, a centuries-old local folk art originating in Silesia, is preserved through skilled artists who handcraft and hand-decorate each piece. The first “Bunzlauer” stoneware dates back to the 16th century, featuring folk art stamping techniques and peacock feather-inspired designs in cobalt blue, sage green, and ferrous red. These traditional patterns and colors continue to inspire modern designs. Each piece is carefully crafted through a process involving ingredient mixing, pottery molding, decoration application, and glazing, followed by a double-firing process. This meticulous technique ensures durability and resistance to cracking and chipping, making the pottery suitable for microwave, dishwasher, oven, and freezer use. Our Polish pottery collection is complemented by beautifully crafted hand-blown glassware from Poland.
