9.5″ diameter and 1.75″ deep The Art of Polish Pottery, a centuries-old local folk art originating in Silesia, has evolved from handcrafted and potato-stamped stoneware in the 16th century to beautiful, handmade ceramics of today. Inspired by traditional peacock feather designs in cobalt blue, sage green, and ferrous red, skilled Polish artisans individually craft and decorate each piece using small sponges to apply intricate patterns and colors. After a meticulous process of mixing ingredients, molding, decorating, and glazing, the pottery undergoes a twice-fired process, resulting in extremely durable, crack-resistant, and chip-resistant pieces perfect for microwave, dishwasher, oven, and freezer use. To complement our Polish Pottery collection, we’ve sourced exquisite hand-blown glassware from Poland, adding a touch of elegance to your table setting.
